Jaipur: A 20-year-old woman on Wednesday married an undertrial, who is accused of raping her, in Central Jail here after High Court granted them permission for it.

The undertrial inmate and bridegroom Mohsin Khan (25), solemnized marriage rituals with the victim as per Muslim marriage law by Qazis in the office of Deputy Superintendent of Jaipur Central around 11.30 AM, jail sources said.

Parents of both the woman and the accused youth were present during the ceremony, they said adding that after marriage the woman returned to her parents house while the bridegroom remained behind bars.

The High Court granted permission on Tuesday to the couple after they decided to get married and also directed jail authorities to allow the marriage ceremony.

On October one, the woman's mother had filed a FIR against Mohsin with the Transport Nagar police station for allegedly raping her daughter on the pretext of marriage.

Mohsin has been lodged in the Central jail since October six and his bail plea would come up for hearing on January 2, next. He had told the court that he was ready to marry the same girl earlier, but her parents objected to it earlier.
