Karimnagar: Pontiff Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swamy said that the students would play a crucial role in developing a nation. He presided over inaugural ceremony of the 32nd state conferences of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) here on Tuesday.
He said that the ABVP was guiding the student community and inculcating patriotism among them. Our centuries old history is being sidelined by teaching temporary history to the students. Western culture has been dominating the local traditions and education. Thus, the students are disinterested in learning history and heritage of our country, he averred.
But, the ABVP has been motivating the students to focus on Indian customs and heritage, he remarked. Indian culture will stay unaffected if the students lead the country with thorough knowledge of the history of the country.
