TTE helps woman get back cash, gold

Thiruvananthapuram: A train passenger who lost her bag containing ornaments worth Rs 1.5 lakh,Rs 10,000 in cash, ATM cards,  pancard and Aadhar card in the coach   got it back thanks to the honesty of  the  ticket examiner.

Elsamma Kottukappally of Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram,  was travelling from Ernakulam to Kasargod in  B4 coach of the Ernakulam Junction-Ajmer Junction Marusagar Express.  Elsamma  realised that she lost the bag when she got down at Kasargod station.

She immediately contacted the station master and the Railway Protection Force  who  got in touch with the chief ticket examiner of Ernakulam  Junction. He passed on the information to TTE  Sarish P. Sankar, who was on duty in the train.

He got in possession of the hand bag and returned it to the owner through the railway authorities.  In a message, Elsamma  thanked the railway officials for their prompt action.
