Mysore tourism gets web boost

New website launched with details of hotels, resorts.

Mysore: The Mysore district administration which usually  promotes tourism  only during Dasara, is now  set to promote it round the year with a new website, ‘www.destinationmysore.

com’ which was launched by district in-charge minister and revenue minister V. Srinivasprasad, Mysore MP H. Vishwanath and others. To begin with, the district administration has come up with series of events for Christmas and New Year.

As many as 23,151 tourists visited Mysore on Wednesday, compared to  17,810 tourists on Christmas the previous year. At Regaalis alone, tourist occupancy touched 85 per cent. 

With the launch of the new website, the district administration wants to make Mysore  one of the top 10 tourist destinations for all seasons, with a tag line, “Mysore Tour: For a million reasons, Mysore is a place which is not only visited for the Dasara festival celebrations but for a million more reasons.”

The website designed by dotangle.com is packed with  inputs for tourists on Mysore,  from tourist destinations in and around Mysore to information about food and accommodation, hotels, restaurants, resorts. The website is compatible on all devices and has social media links. 

On January 12, a mass run for health and environment is planned at 7am from Kote Anjaneya temple near Mysore Palace.
