Three held for trying to sell sand boa snake

The accused were trying to sell Indian sand boa to gullible buyers claiming it has supernatural powers.

Hyderabad: Three persons were on Monday arrested from Nawabsabkunta area here for allegedly trying to sell an Indian sand boa claiming it had supernatural powers, police said.

The accused trio of Mohan Singh, Satyanarayana and Praveen Kumar confessed to having formed a gang and hatching a conspiracy to sell the snake to gullible buyers, they said. Police said the accused caught the snake near Chegunta in Medak district.
