Jhananathan ropes in his debut hero in 'Purampokku'

S.P. Jhananathan, who won the National Award for his debut film, 'Iyarkai', which had actor Shaam in the lead, has roped in the latter for his forthcoming offering, 'Purampokku'. The movie already has two heroes, Arya and Vijay Sethupathi, and now Shaam has been added to the ensemble cast.

“With three lead heroes in a film, we are also setting a trend for multi-starrers in Tamil films and I am delighted to be heading such a huge project. The background to the film is unique, just like the title of the film, and will be spoken about like my previous movies were,” said writer-director S.P. Jhananathan.

Shaam said, “Purampokku is a powerful subject, which has very good scope for all the three heroes, and hence, I have accepted the role in this film.”
UTV in association with Binary Pictures produces the movie which has Karthika Nair as the leading lady.
