Andhra Pradesh Minister D. Sridhar Babu, who quit after he was divested of Legislative Affairs portfolio, addresses media on Friday.
"Telangana people are waiting for the formation of a separate state. It is unfortunate that leaders from Seemandhra, including the Chief Minister, have not realised this. I have not quit for myself, but against the moves that are being made to stall
Babu, who belongs to Telangana, resigned on Thursday after he was stripped of the Legislative Affairs portfolio by Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy.
D. Sridhar Babu also held discussions with other Congress leaders at the Minister's Quarters in Banjara Hills, in Hyderabad on Friday.
Telangana and Seemandhra Congress leaders continued their war of words for the second day. Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar warned Kiran Kumar Reddy that his helicopter would be shot in the air if he came to Karimnagar.
Babu said he decided to resign from his post to protest alleged moves to block the formation of separate Telangana.
