Abdul, Nishant slam centuries

Hyderabad: Abdul Khaled Qureshi and Nishanth Yadav slammed centuries to help their respective sides to victory in the Kishan Prasad one-day knockout tournament organised by the Hyderabad Cricket Association in the city on Monday.

Abdul’s 156 enabled Boys Town to thrash Sutton by 86 runs while Nishanth’s 119 helped Postal to a handsome 170-run victory over Deccan Wanderers.

Taking first strike, Boys Town made 245 for 17, thanks mainly to Abdul. In reply, Sutton were restricted to 159 for 9.

Postal posted a formidable 306 for 3 and shot out Deccan Wanderers for just 136 runs in reply.
