It is now official! That Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan’s next film after 'Vishwaroopam 2' has been titled 'Utthama Villain'. He has roped in his good friend and actor Ramesh Aravind to wield the megaphone. In fact, the news came straight from the horse’s mouth!

In a special interview with a television channel on the festive occasion of Pongal, Kamal Haasan revealed, “My next will be Utthama Villain and the major piece of news is that I will be sharing screen space with my mentor and guru K. Balachander in the movie. Once Vishwaroopam 2 gets released, UV will go on the floors.”

Interestingly, KB was the one who introduced Ramesh to Kollywood with his flick, Manadhil Urudhi Vendum.  The two had also come together for many films, including one in Kannada, Sundara Swapnagalu. “KB sir will be sporting a bearded look for his role,” adds Kamal Haasan.

The grapevine has it that Utthama... revolves around an ageing superstar’s life with the story and screenplay penned by Kamal. The actor’s favourite dialogue writer, Crazy Mohan, will be collaborating with him once again for UV. Sources add that the film is being produced by Rajkamal Films on a first copy basis for Lingusamy’s Thirrupathi Brothers. In an earlier interview, Ramesh Aravind has said that the movie is a comedy entertainer and will have the double effect of Kamal’s earlier blockbuster, Panchathanthiram.

Insiders say that director Rajesh of 'Oru Kal Oru Kannadi' fame has also been brought on board for his comic inputs.

Meanwhile, 'Vishwaroopam 2' is all set for release.  “The second part is both sequel and prequel and it will focus on the romantic and emotional angle to human relationships and will be technically advanced. I was sure from the beginning that I would bring in the second part too. 'Vishwaroopam 2' is not my arrogance, it is my confidence,” the 'Dasavatharam' star had remarked in a recent interview. He added that he makes films for the audience. “I don’t make films for publicity; rather I want my film to be enjoyed by my audiences.”
