“I am so happy. Once again God has proved that this year is good for me,” exclaimed Swarna Thomas who just heard that she has been nominated for the State Film Awards for her performance in Krishnajith S. Vijayan’s 'Flat No 4 B'.

The movie revolves around a  father-daughter relationship. Her first film as the leading lady is the romantic thriller Pranayakadha, directed by Aadi Balakrishnan.

“In Pranayakadha,  I play the role of a Christian girl who falls in love with a Hindu boy. The story revolves around their elopement and the consequences,” she says. She is paired opposite Arun Narayan in the movie. Major parts of Pranayakadha were shot in a forest.

“There were some dangerous scenes, especially while climbing the mountains. But I really enjoyed doing it,” says Swarna, excited about her new film. There is yet another film 'To Let Ambadi Talkies', an entertainer, in the  pipeline.

Despite difficulties, Swarna sounds optimistic about her future. Walking  down the memory lane she said, “This is actually my second lease of life. 2013 was the worst year of my life. I met with an accident and was really  depressed.

I was crying all the time. But, somehow I gained confidence to move on. Now six months have passed and I am still recovering,” she adds.

She promises to return with an all-new style and attitude towards life. “I want to dance first after complete recovery. I have been missing my dance.”

But, Swarna is not planning to sign any new movies as of now. She wants to complete her studies.

Currently,  pursuing her plus-two in Mumbai, this youngster shot to popularity after  winning a dance reality. She has also essayed supporting roles in some other movies. A passionate dancer Swarna talks about her dream on her Facebook page — to become Miss Universe!
