Marriage? Not in the near future: Sumanth

Back after a long break, Sumanth will soon hit the screens with his new film 'Emo Gurram Egara Vachu'. “It’s the first time I play a comic character,” informs the actor who attributes his long absence to the lack of exciting projects.

“I don’t think about public perception. I need to be excited to do a project. I will do a film if the story, director, and production team are good,” he adds.
Admitting that he wasn’t happy with his last couple of films, Sumanth says, “I don’t want to repeat the same mistake. I’d rather take a break instead of doing any film just to stay in the news.”

So, what’s so ‘good’ about his upcoming film?

“It’s a non-stop entertaining film, in which I play a completely funny character. It’s a first for me,” Sumanth replies. On his female get-up in the film, he says, “It was tough but fun at the same time.”

Since he is very close to his grandfather, the legendary Akkineni Nageswara Rao, does he approach him for career advice?

“We don’t talk about films at home. In fact, we don’t discuss personal issues either.” So, what do they talk about then? “About food, dogs, and other things,” he replies.

Does he have any plans to marry again? “No, not in the near future,” he says. When asked why, Sumanth says, “I don’t know, I just don’t know…”

Not one to be seen at parties and social gatherings, Sumanth spends his time watching movies at home and travelling.

“I spend time with my close friends and since I have a big family, I like to spend time at home,” he shares.
