Seeded players had an easy outing in the first round of the VTS National Series tennis tournament for under-16 boys and girls, being played at Kavali in Nellore district.

Iqbal Ishaque, the boys’ top seed, brushed past Harshit C. 6-1, 6-2 while the second-seeded Yugal Bansal thrashed Yashwant 6-0, 6-0.
