Shaikh, Sneha in tennis quarters

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh’s Shaikh Abdullah and Sneha Pedamata advanced to the quarterfinals of the Secunderabad Club Open All-India ranking tennis tournament in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

Third seed Shaikh Abdullah defeated Tamil Nadu’s Prithvi S. 6-2, 6-4 in the men’s singles pre-quarterfinals while women’s second seed Sneha beat Haryana’s Aashima Garg 6-4, 6-1. Also advancing to the last 8 was Vaishnavi Sri Peddi Reddy, who beat fourth seed Victoria Chahal 6-0, 6-0.
