MIM: Worry about Seemandhra needs
Akbaruddin Owais:?Telangana people can develop their Andhra Pradesh.
Hyderabad: MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi wondered why Seemandhra leaders were talking about the grave loss to Telangana due to bifurcation instead of loss/gain to their region.
“I am really surprised they are so sympathetic to Telangana people. Why is Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and other Seemandhra leaders harping on the loss to Telangana but do not spell the loss or gain to Seemandhra?,”?he remarked.
Talking to the media on the Assembly premises, Owaisi asserted that the AP Reorganisation Bill 2013 Bill was a “Draft Bill”?and the final Bill will be introduced in Parliament after amendments, if any. “The President sent the draft bill and sought opinion of the House. Since it is a draft bill, amendments are moved. In technical parlance, it is referred as a Bill,”?he said.
Owaisi said there was nothing wrong in seeking opinion of Advocate General on the “anomalies”?in the Bill, but asked why the Chief Minister and other leaders were silent for 23 days, participated in the discussion, are now seeking an extension of time which they have got.
“People of Telangana region will develop their state, infrastructure and try to make their own living. Let Seemandhra leaders not worry about their plight after bifurcation. Let them focus on their region,”?he said.
