Pinky Savika, the new entrant in Tollywood, has been the talk of the town for the last few days. The Thai star, who made her debut with 'Emo Gur-ram Egaravachu', is in the city to promote the film.

“I am a singer and actress in Thailand. I started my film career when I was eight years old,” says Pinky, who has a huge fan following in Thailand.

Chandra Siddharth, the director of Emo… had approached one of Pinky’s producers for the film. “They sent me the script and I liked it. I wanted to take a chance to see  Indian culture and tradition. So I decided to do the film,” says Pinky, who had earlier done a Tamil film.

“When I started shooting, the language, culture and even people were new. But I learnt a lot from them.” And she has already been  approached for more Tel-ugu and Hindi projects. “I can’t remember for which film or with which actor. I am interested in doing more Telugu films, but first I have to complete my work back home,” she adds.

Talking about the differences between the two industries, Pinky says, “There are songs and dances here about which I am excited.”

Pinky recently met Shruti Haasan and Rana Daggubati at a restaurant and the first thing she told Rana was “You are the ex-boyfriend of Bipasha Basu”. The actor laughed and said “no” and asked her how she knew about it. “On the Internet,” Pinky said.

She adds that she is a big fan of Rana. About Shruti Haasan, she says, “She is very gorgeous,” and adds that she reads all the film gossips and rumours.
The other T-town actors Pinky knows are Mahesh Babu and Ram Charan. “I have watched Mahesh Babu’s Pokiri,” she says.
