Congress MLAs: Let’s ‘group and gain’
Legislators plan to meet Siddu and plead for quick implementation of developmental schemes.
Bangalore: For the first time since the Congress was voted to power in the state in May 2013, debutants among legislators have forged a ginger group not just to get a foothold in the government but also to ensure that their constituencies are not ignored by ministers.
These first-time MLAs met in Bangalore when they realised that ministers reportedly nominated party workers to various committees without their knowledge.
They have other issues as well. For instance, they find it difficult to meet ministers as the latter are too busy to give them appointments.
“We are not against the party or the chief minister. We want projects to be approved and implemented at the earliest in our constituencies. Under no circumstances will we wind up this forum or allow others to break it,” a member of this forum told DC.
All these legislators plan to meet Chief Minister Siddaramaiah soon and plead for quick implementation of developmental schemes in their constituencies.
