New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has asked the President of India to order an investigation on how former Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit had authorised illegal colonies in 2008.
Kejriwal, who has formed the Delhi government with the support of Congress, was often blamed by the BJP for going soft on the charges levelled against Dikshit.
The Lokayukta had indicted Dikshit in November for regularizing over 1000 colonies before the 2009 election. It was also alleged that the colonies lacked basic infrastructure and were built on forest land. Kejriwal defeated Diskhit in the Delhi Assembly with a huge margin and became the CM.
