For Katrina Kaif, underutilised barb for Dhoom 3 role is compliment
Actor says she has taken the taunt on length of her role in Dhoom 3 in her stride.
Mumbai: Actor Katrina Kaif on Tuesday said she has taken the 'underutilised' taunt on length of her role in 'Dhoom 3' in her stride.
The third instalment in the 'Dhoom' series, released last year, is known as more or less Aamir Khan's film where roles of Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra and Katrina Kaif appear less prominent in comparison.
When asked to comment on reports that she was underutilised in 'Dhoom 3', Katrina said, "I take it as a compliment that people wanted to see more of me in the film. Next time when I do a film I will see to it that I do more stuff".
Katrina had played the character of "Aaliya" in the film and appeared in two songs.
Aamir had earlier said in an interview that male characters of Ali and Jai played by Uday Chopra and Abhishek Bachchan, respectively were properly placed.
"Ali's role is a good one in terms of what he is meant to do in the film. Jai's role is not at all weak in any ways. His character controls the entire story. Talking strictly from the screen time, I think Katrina Kaif's character could have been a little longer", Aamir had said.

Mumbai: Reacting to the Central Consumer Protection Council's decision that celebrities would be held liable for endorsing products by way of misleading advertisements, actor Katrina Kaif said she is very careful while choosing to endorse a brand.
If products like skin whitening creams, hair oils or shampoo do not give results as promised in advertisements, consumers can now claim compensation not only from advertisers but also from celebrities endorsing such products, as per the latest Central Consumer Protection Council (CCPC) guidelines.
"I don't know much about this law. It is a good thing, since it will enforce quality and make sure that the celebrity is careful while endorsing a particular product. Personally, I have always been careful while endorsing products and what I say in the commercial. I have been careful about not making wrong claims," Katrina said.
"If I am not familiar with the brand, then I don't endorse it. It is important for me that the product I endorse, should deliver on its promise," she said.
Meanwhile, Katrina has joined stars like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor and Freida Pinto as the latest spokesperson of cosmetic brand L'Oreal Paris.
