Lights, camera, freeze!
Rajeev Arora had a different experience with Vidya Balan.
She may be a very talented actress, but Vidya Balan isn’t the best dancer in the film industry. In fact, some of the choreographers she has worked with in the past have gone to the extent of saying that Vidya has two left feet.
But Rajeev Arora had a different experience with the actress. Rajeev, who worked with Vidya and Farhan on their soon-to-be-released film Shaadi Ke Side Effects introduced the "background-freeze" move to tackle the problem. Introduced for the first time in a Bollywood flick, it involves Vidya and Farhan dancing in front of the camera while everybody in the background freezes.
"The move appealed to director Saket Chaudhary who okayed the idea at once. Due to the contrast, the dancing figures’ moves are enhanced and the sequence looks good. The idea clicked and Vidya got a thumbs up from the entire crew. In fact, Saket also teased her by calling her a dancing queen by the end of the shoot," says a source.
