Jagan gears up for yatra in Telangana region

Hyderabad : YSR Congress president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has decided to tour the Telangana region. The YSRC chief, who held a meeting with party Telangana leaders on Monday and discussed with them on strengthening the party in the Telangana region.

In the meeting, Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy has also taken a decision on resuming his Odarpu Yatra in Telangana.He will start his political tour in Telangana from Khammam district, addressing a public meeting there, and resumes Odarpu Yatra from Nalgonda district. Party spokespersons Gattu Ramachandra Rao and Janak Prasad told to reporters that the dates and tour details would be announced shortly. They said Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy would console about 250 families in the Telangana region as part of his Odarpu Yatra.

Reacting to the statement of TRS legislator T. Harish Rao that Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy cannot enter Telangana, they said that in a democratic set up every citizen is free to tour any party of the country. Meanwhile, Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy wrote a letter to President Pranab Mukherjee seeking his appointment. He wants to explain to the President how the Telangana Bill was passed in an undemocratic way in both houses of Parliament.
