Athletes sport Telangana colour

Hyderabad: Athletes representing Andhra Pradesh at the 35th National Masters Athletic Championships,  inaugurated at the Nehru Stadium in Coimbatore on Tuesday  were seen sporting Telangana colours during the opening ceremony. The 130 strong contingent turned out in pink jerseys with “Telangana” written across the back, instead of Andhra Pradesh. Furthermore, sources claim that the participants are competing under the Telangana Masters Athletics Association banner. However, Officials said the team will be considered from Andhra Pradesh and points would be allocated accordingly.
