Gen Y’s mantra

Karan Johar is all for kissing scenes and his films these days are proof of that. Lip locks are regular affairs in Dharma Productions’ popular, socio family romances. And since debuting with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai as an independent director, Karan has changed the way Bollywood views onscreen kisses.

In his upcoming movie 2 States too, the lead pair Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have quite a few kissing scenes. What’s with all the kissing? We ask Karan. “Kissing is the new gen-mantra. if you try it once, you feel like having more of it. It is fun. Earlier films did not have kissing scenes because of ‘lok-lajja’, but now it is all fun,” says the director.
