Now a film on the Telengana struggle
Director Allani Sridhar is currently doing his research for the movie and will start work on the script soon
Now that the Telangana state has become a reality, the decades-long struggle of its people will soon be translated on to the silver screen.
Director Allani Sridhar shares, “I’m planning a script with my friends, as we have always wanted to make a film on the subject.” Mentioning that the story will revolve around the entire movement, which began 50 years ago, he adds, “I want to include everything from the beginning of the movement to the present reality.”
Sridhar has earlier made a film on Telangana freedom fighter Komaram Bheem and the film won several State and National awards. “The research is on and we will start writing the script in a few weeks,” Sridhar informs. As in his earlier film, the director plans to rope in non actors and original participants of the recent movement.
