Assets case: Jagan Reddy assets attached in Vanpic case

Criminal probe will be established against individuals and associated firms

Hyderabad: In a big jolt to MP and YSR Congress president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Enforcement Direct-orate on Wednesday attached his properties along with those belonging to industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad, all worth '863 crore in the Vanpic conspiracy case.

The properties attached, under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, include Jagati Publications Pvt. Ltd that publishes Sakshi and owns Indira Television and Sakshi TV.

The ED said the properties have been attached to “prevent the accused persons — Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy and Mr Prasad — and their firms from enjoying the fruits of criminal acts”.
