Lisbon: FC Porto says coach Paulo Fonseca will leave his post after the club's worst string of results in almost 10 years.

The Portuguese champions say in a statement to the Lisbon stock exchange that it has reached an agreement with Fonseca, with "B'' team coach Luis Castro temporarily taking charge. The statement gave no further details. Porto recorded its first home league defeat in more than five years in February and is third in the Portuguese league, nine points behind leader Benfica.
