Hoffman starrer 'God's Pocket' to release on May 9

Los Angeles: Philip Seymour Hoffman starrer 'God's Pocket' is set to release on May 9 in select theatres.
The John Slattery directed film, which made its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival just days before Hoffman died of an overdose, will release in select theatres on May 9, said The Hollywood Reporter.
After its release on May 9, the film will be made available on Video on Demand. 'God's Pocket', marks the directorial debut of 'Mad Men' actor Slattery.
The drama, based on the novel of the same name by Pete Dexter, centers on a gritty blue-collar neighborhood where a construction accident leads to the burial of a body and the truth.
Producers on the film include Sam Bisbee, Jackie Kelman Bisbee, Lance Acord, Slattery, Hoffman and Emily Ziff. Hoffman passed away last month due to apparent drug overdose atthe age of 46.
