Ajay Devgn is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao

Ajay Devgn has given a green light to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much pending project ‘Bajirao Mastani’.

The duo is now talking on the logistics of the shoot and most importantly Ajay Devgn’s look. The plan as of now is to take the film on floors post March 2015. However, the hunt for the heroine is still on.

The makers are planning to launch a poster this year where they'll announce the exact date the film will go on floors.

The other requisite of Bhansali is wanting his actor to give a lot of dates to the project, Ajay has agreed to do.

In fact, our team has also learnt that Ajay will be dedicating a lot of time for this film and he is most likely to give dates of approximately 200 days.

Ajay and Bhansali have teamed up together only in 1999 for Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam which earned them loads of accolades. Ajay also won the Best Actor award for the film.

Bajirao Mastani has been a project that Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been trying to put together for many years now. However, due to certain unavoidable reasons, he had to always move on to his next project. Nonetheless, he never lost interest and kept his dream alive

Post ‘Ram Leela’, the director started talking to various actors like Shah Rukh, Ranveer Singh about the possibility of casting them as lead.

However, Deccan Chronice has confirmed that Ajay Devgn has been finalized to play the role.
