AAP leader Yogendra Yadav’s face smeared with black ink
‘The man came from behind and blackened my face while shouting slogans’
New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party leader Yogendra Yadav’s face was smeared with black ink by an unknown attacker during Women’s Day celebrations in New Delhi on Saturday.
The incident happened when Yadav was speaking to media persons at the event. The man who smeared ink could not be rounded up.
Requesting his supporters to remain calm, Yadav said, “I could not see who the person was. He came from behind and blackened my face while shouting slogans. Similar attacks on AAP leaders have happened in the past. When you set out to take on big names in politics, you should be ready to pay the price. We will not retaliate.”
Yadav was speaking to media persons at the gathering when the incident happened. The man who smeared ink on Yadav’s face could not be rounded up immediately.
