Varanasi seat has BJP, RSS in a fix
New Delhi: Describing himself as a “disciplined soldier” of the BJP, senior leader Murli Manohar Joshi, who is under pressure to give up his Varanasi parliamentary constituency as the party’s PM candidate Narendra Modi is likely to contest from there, on Sunday said that the party leadership’s decision will be taken keeping in mind the winnability aspect and the prestige of the PM candidate.
Dr Joshi, who is reluctant to contest from any other parliamentary constituency, also trashed reports of a “poster war” between Mr Modi and his supporters, saying it was a “mental fiction” of the media. Even the RSS said it was “worried” about the reported Varanasi seat row but was confident that the party would “solve the problem”.
