New Zealand man adopts 99-character name after losing drunken bet
The man will now need to update his driver's license and other ID cards.
Melbourne: A 22-year-old man in New Zealand has changed his name to a 99-character tongue twister after he lost a drunken bet in a poker game.
The man from Dunedin is now officially known as 'Full Metal Havok More Sexy N Intelligent Than Spock And All The Superheroes Combined With Frostnova'.
The 99-character name is just one shy of New Zealand's 100 character limit and Frostnova found out only when his passport expired. Frostnova's fellow friends chose his name after he lost a poker game five years ago, 'New Zealand Herald' reported.
"My friend lost a bet five years ago and changed his name," the friend wrote on an on-line body building forum. "He just found out it was actually accepted last week when his passport expired," he added.
DIA spokesman Michael Mead said the name was legally registered, for a USD 110 fee, in March 2010.
