‘Flappy Bird’ might be back: Creator
Dong Nguyen, creator of Flappy Bird’ is considering bringing it back.
The creator of Flappy Bird said in an interview that there was a chance he would bring the game back to life again. Mashable reported that the publication met with Nguyen, who said he is not working on a new version and is also turning down offers to sell the original game. He also stated that he would bring back the game with a ‘Warning’ to ‘Please take a break’.
The Flappy Bird game was generating daily revenues of more than $55,000 only through ads. Fans who have downloaded the game just before it went down from the web are still generating ad revenues for him.
“There were rumors he might be sued by Nintendo. He received death threats, couldn't eat and even contemplated suicide. This led him to send a series of tweets on Feb. 8 warning that he was going to remove the app in just 22 hours. Fans pleaded with him to keep it available, but by the next day, the app was no longer in either store” reported Mashable. Presently, the creator quit his job and is developing some newer games. A flying game, ‘Kitty Jetpack’ and an action chess game, ‘Checkonaut’ are due to this month.
