Idea launches 5.5-inch Android smartphone for Rs 12,500

Idea announced the availability of the super cheap quad core Android phablet.

Idea yesterday announced the launch of the Ultra II Android phablet which sports a 5.5-inch IPS display panel. The device runs on Android Jelly Bean v4.2.2, is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core processor and has an internal RAM of 1 GB. The storage within the device is 4 GB (the user gets only 2GB for data) which can be further expanded up to 32 GB using a microSD card. The 5.5-inch display sports a recolution of 960 x 540 pixels.

The Ultra II is armed with an 8 MP rear camera with flash and a 2 MP front facing secondary camera. Other features include 3G, Bluetooth v4.0, FM radio, and WLAN. The device is powered using a 2500 mAh battery and is expected to give you a talk time of 5 -8 hours.

The Ultra II is priced decently low which makes affording a large-screen smartphone easier to the common man. Idea also packs a few exciting offers to its existing prepaid and postpaid customers.
