World’s slimmest octa-core smartphone launches in India
The slimmest smartphone unveiled at the MWC will be available in India this month.

Gionee, a newcomer in the Indian smartphone market, but a well-known brand in China, has announced the launch of its slimmest Android smartphone. The Elife S5.5 was recently unveiled at the MWC by Gionee, and the manufacturer claimed the phone to be the world’s slimmest phone yet.
The Elife S5.5 is powered by a 1.7 GHz octa-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, a 13 MP camera, sports a 5-inch full HD display encased within a Gorilla Glass and is just 5.5 mm thick. The indicative price for the handset will be around Rs 23,000. Prices are not yet confirmed and will be out only post the release.
