Girl raped by neighbour in Tamil Nadu

Namakkal: A 10-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour at Pallipalam in district of Tamil Nadu, according to police.

The 17-year-old neighbour took the girl, a Class V student, to his residence on Wednesday evening and raped her, police added.

The girl reported the matter to her mother, a labourer, when she returned home.

Following a complaint by the girl's mother, the accused was arrested.
