Hyderabad:  Mrs Shankaramma, mother of Telangana martyr Srikanta Chary threatens to commit suicide like son if she was denied assembly ticket by TRS chief Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Mrs Shankaramma, who met TRS chief Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao, created a flutter at Telangana Bhavan demanding TRS ticket for the ensuing assembly elections.

KCR reportedly cajoled her and promised a MLC ticket or MLC nomination on priority stating the ensuing elections were crucial and she would not be able to cope up with it.

"When so many people are being given tickets, kin of one among the 1000 martyrs should be given ticket. KCR promised to get back to me in three days time. If he doesn't, I will kill myself at LB Nagar chowrastha," she told media persons.

Mrs Shankaramma, who sought Palakruthi assembly ticket in Warangal district, said surviving students would study and employees continue with their jobs, but her son would never return.

"I appeal to KCR once again to accept my request. I have confidence in him and Mr Harish Rao," she added.

When a reporter pointed that Telugu Desam president, Mr N Chandrababu Naidu offered ticket to her, she said she wanted a ticket from KCR only. "If KCR doesn't give ticket, Srikant is not there and I will not be there," she said.
