Arjun Kapoor isn’t signing new films for a while
Travelling all over the country for his films and living out of suitcases, the actor wants some time to himself
Arjun Kapoor got three films lined up for release this year, including the highly anticipated 2 States. However, Arjun Kapoor has now decided to put his signing spree on hold and give his full attention to the projects he has in his kitty.
Travelling all over the country for his films like Gunday, 2 States, Finding Fanny Fernandes and Tevar, Arjun has been living out of suitcases and hopes to have a little time for himself before embarking on the next round of assignments. “Tevar is the only film that I am working on currently as I do not want to tire myself with too much work. As it is, three of my films are releasing back-to-back this year. I don’t want to over-commit,” says Arjun.
In fact, he has given bulk dates to Tevar, which is his home production with uncle Sanjay Kapoor and Sunil Lulla of Eros. “There is an emotional connection that I have with Tevar as it’s for the first time that I am being associated with my father (Boney Kapoor) at a professional level. This is his genre of cinema — which means a commercial, big budget, romantic-action set-up. It has been hugely exciting shooting for it so far. It’s fun having Sonakshi (Sinha) as a co-star,” Arjun says.
Although he hasn’t signed a new film, he is reading scripts and hasn’t cut himself off from that process. “I am just being patient. I don’t want to pick up something in a rush,” he says.
