Nainital student creates a shoe that charges mobile phones
Wearing these shoes will help one to charge his mobile phone
Nainital: Rajesh Adhikari, a 12th class student from Nainital has created a shoe that can now charge a mobile phone. No matter where an individual is, wearing these shoes will help one to charge his mobile phone.
Adhikari said, “The idea of making such a waterproof charger struck when it snowed heavily in Nainital and many people, including him, had to suffer due to power shutdown in the city.”
This turned out to be an inspiration for Adhikari, which inspired him to make a powerhouse out of a shoe and make full use of the energy generated out of the footwear when a person walks.
Explaining the mechanism of the shoe cum mobile charger, Adhikari highlighted, "When we raise our feet, the spring gets released and the dynamo starts revolving, which generates current. We can charge our mobile phones while we are walking."
Adding to this, this charger can also be used to light a bulb at home when there is no electricity, by installing a battery in the shoe.
