Berlin: A three-year-old girl in Germany wascaught by the police driving a motorbike which has a top speed of 70 km/h.

The child was seen riding the bike on a road in Tuttlingen, in southern Germany, landing her father in trouble with the police.

Her father was seen giving instructions to her on how to ride the diesel-engine bike, 'The Local' reported.

Police seized the bike and charged the father for breaching insurance laws and licensing regulations.

The girl "did not possess a valid driving licence," police said, adding the bike was not suited for a ride on the road.

Although it was only a small "pocket bike," it could reach speeds of 70 km/h, police said, describing the ride as "life-threatening".

"The father did not realise that a bad accident would have happened if the girl had just given it a little bit more throttle," police said.
