Improved Metro and Desktop seen on Windows 9 concept

Windows XP is on the verge to expire and Windows 7 wil soon will follow suit. Presently, Microsoft is pushing people to migrate to Windows 8.1, but in a few weeks, they are already set to share details on their latest operating system, Windows 9. Softpedia reported that Microsoft is closely working with users and testers to help improvise the features on Windows 9.

Windows 9 will feature the modern taskbar and will be placed on the left side of the screen, which allows you to control both the Modern and the desktop apps. Windows 9 is expected to merge the Modern UI and the Desktop to allow the users to launch the apps without accessing the start screen. This will clearly come in handy for everyone.

The Start screen is also getting plenty of improvements, including gesture support, to quickly a perform number of tasks.

In addition, Microsoft is also preparing a bunch of other improvements for the new operating system, which will help desktop users to regain their trust in the Windows operating system.
