Groom flees, bride finds another partner

Hyderabad: Nalgonda saw it own version of Shuddh Desi Romance moment on Wednesday when a groom, slated to marry his maternal cousin, fled the scene.

The incident took place at Choutuppal. The  groom, N. Bhiksha,  fled the marriage hall on his motorcycle. He abandoned the vehicle a few kilometres away from his village and took off.
Bhiksha’s parents are yet to trace him.

However, in a strange turn of events, the bride agreed to marry another of her paternal cousins after his parents brought up the proposal in the original groom’s absence. The marriage was solemnised even as Bhiksha’s parents left looking for him.
