Karimnagar: Several contestants of civic polls are using advanced technology for various tasks involved in publicity. The contestants are relying upon laptops, tablets, internet and smart phones for conducting publicity, checking names of voters, creating awareness over using franchise, etc.

For instance, Lakkula Mohan Rao, an Independent nominee contesting from division number 43 of Karimnagar Municipal Corporation is using laptop and printer for checking number of electors belonging to a family and issuing voter slips. He is taking assistance from a software engineer for completing the tasks without delay and failure.

By carrying both the laptop and printer, he is visiting every household and giving away voters slips printed instantly. This method ensures the contestants have accurate data about voters of a family while carrying out door-to-door publicity.
