Mirpur: Chasing 139 runs to win, India lost Dhawan early. But like in the previous game, Kohli and Rohit Sharma were involved in another partnership. Bangladesh had a chance to dismiss Rohit in the 9th over, but Bangladeh dropped the opportunity.

India were 112/1 in 15 overs as Rohit and Kohli scored fifties. For both of them, this was their second fifty in last 2 games. Rohit got out in the 16th over when India were 24 runs away from the target.

Dhoni and Kohli did not waste too much time to score the remaining runs. India won the game by 8 wickets to seal their place in the semi-final.

Earlier, Dhoni won the toss and elected to bowl first. Thrice he has won the toss in ICC World T20 and thrice have India bowled first.

Put in to bat first, Bangladesh were 20/0 in first 3 overs. But in the 4th over of the inning, Ashwin struck twice. Bhuvneshwar Kumar followed with one more wicket in the fifth over to make it 22/3 in 4 overs.

Anamul Haque and skipper Mushfiqur Rahim then tried to settle the Bangladesh inning. Rahim hit 2 fours in the 9th over to bring up Bangladesh’s fifty.

Mushfiqur did the same in the 11th over of the game as he hit 2 boundaries against Shami. But in the same over, he was dismissed. By the end of 12 overs, Bangladesh were 76/4. Anamul Haque played some pretty shots but he too followed Rahim into the dug-out. Bangladesh scored 138/7 in their quota of 20 overs.

For India, Amit Mishra took 3 wickets while Ashwin struck two. In the chase, Kohli and Rohit scored fifties. India next face Australia on March 30.
