Man tries to stab wife, dies in Hyderabad

While man tried to stab his wife resisted and it was then that the knife pierced him

Hyderabad: A 40-year-old man was killed in a scuffle between him and his wife at their house in Aravindnagar Colony in Golconda on Thursday night. The, victim, Abdul Khayyum had frequent fights with his wife over him not going to work.

During such an argument, he picked up a knife and tried to attack his wife which led to a scuffle. While he tried to stab, his wife resisted and it was then that the knife pierced him resulting in his death.

Abdul Khayyum lived with his wife Ahmedi Begum and four children in G.R. Residency. Abdul earlier worked as a driver, but had stopped since the past two months and had been staying at home.

Mohammed Munawar, inspector, Golconda police station said, a murder case has been registered against Ahmedi Begum. The police said neighbours alerted them after children ran out of  the house crying. The body was shifted to the Osmania General Hospital and handed over to the family after post-mortem.
