Sony introduces Android 4.3 Jelly Bean updates for Xperia M

This update can help it convert into a build version of 15.4.A.0.23

March 30, 2014: Sony has now introduced new updates of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for its Xperia M smartphones. Convertible into a build version of 15.4.A.0.23, it also includes more improvised features of Xperia M.

According to its official blog, ‘The new firmware is live across a number of carriers across Europe and Asia, bringing a smoother UI and graphics enhancement to its handsets.’ Its camera interface has also been updated with Burst Mode and Superior Auto shooting modes. To address the battery drainage problems, the firmware update brings Battery STAMINA Mode.

The update is available only to the single SIM Xperia M model via OTA (Over-The-Air) and can also be downloaded manually from computer through PC Companion (for Windows) or Bridge (Mac).

Sony users can also get to know their current software version by clicking on Settings > About phone > Build number / version. And eventually update the software by following the given procedure: Update Centre > Updates tab and install the available update.

As per the official reports, ‘Other notable changes include improved Sony apps including Walkman, Album and Movies, and new security enhancements from Android 4.3.’
