Hyderabad: The management-broker nexus in medical colleges has been fuelling large-scale corruption in medical admissions.
The managements are not permitting students to even obtain application forms, let alone give seats based on merit, forcing them to approach brokers.
The situation is so bad that without brokers it is almost impossible to get admission under the management quota.
Students had to approach the AP High Court twice last year just to obtain applications for admissions under the management quota. They were stopped at the main gate of the colleges by private security posted there and not allowed inside the premises.
The court directed the managements to allow students to directly download applications from college websites.
