Intel ‘8-core processor’ and ‘Devil's Canyon’ to be launched in mid-2014

Both these processors were unveiled at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco

March 31, 2014: Intel has developed its '8-core processor' and 4th gen core processor code known as ‘Devil's Canyon’.  Both these processors were unveiled at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco and will be launched in India in the second half of 2014.
 
Intel’s ‘8-core processor’ is capable of supporting the DDR4 memory standard, enabling users to get better performance of gaming, video editing, 3-D content and other high-end uses as well. On the other hand, The new chip’ ‘Devil's Canyon’ will include improved thermal interface and CPU packaging materials.
 
Cyber Technology reported, ‘Intel has also announced plans of launching more upcoming processors such as Intel Pentium processor Anniversary Edition and a 5th gen Intel Core processor known as ‘Broadwell’, which will come with Iris Pro graphics.’
 
‘Black Brook has also been built by Intel. This includes an integrated Intel RealSense 3-D camera, a quad microphone array, premium audio and a full HD display,’ as stated by Think Digit.
 
“The desktop business is a large and important segment for Intel. We are investing in it by reinventing form factors, experiences and products for our customers,” concluded Lisa Graff, Vice President and General Manager, Intel’s Desktop Client Platform Group.
