Microsoft Office Mobile is now free to use on iPhone and Android phones. The software previously required a subscription to Microsoft Office 365, but not anymore.

Users can download the app from the App Store or Google Play for free. Brighthand reported that Office Mobile allows users access to Word, PowerPoint, and Excel documents stored on OneDrive, OneDrive for Business or SharePoint. Users will be able to edit, view comments, and share the documents straight from their smartphones.

Documents that are viewed on a computer are also easily accessible and the formatting will now remain consistent across platforms. The app will also include support for charts, animations, SmartArt graphics and shapes.
