FIR against UP Congress leader over Manmohan Singh, Rahul Gandhi posters

Allahabad: Another poster controversy was sparked by Congress leaders by putting posters portraying a scene of mythological book The Mahabharata. Reportedly 5 Congress leaders have been accused of displaying the posters and hurting religious sentiments.
The posters displayed Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as Hindu god Lord Krishna riding a chariot and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi as mythological character Arjun.
The complaint was filed by secretary of Shree Rishi Gyanyog Prasar Samiti Satya, Prakash Mishra. He alleged that the leaders performed a havan for Rahul Gandhi to become PM, using garbage.
An FIR was registered against Congress member Haseeb Ahmed and four others will be named only after video footage is inspected.
According to media reports, Allahabad Congress President Abhay Awasthi said, “The party condemns the incident and disciplinary action will be taken against them. The party is considering expelling him and others involved.”
