Visakhapatnam: Telugu Desam seems to be not ready to part with Vizag Lok Sabha seat in the wake of possible alliance with the BJP.

Indications to this effect were given by former minister Ganta Srinivas Rao, who rejoined the TDP recently, here on Wednesday.

“BJP and TD alliance will be finalised and announcement is likely to be made in a day or two after a final meeting between Prakash Javadekar and TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu. Looks like Mr Naidu will not part with Vizag LS seat to BJP,” he said.

Talks between the two parties on seat sharing have hit a roadblock with both the parties not willing to spare Vizag and Vijayawada Lok Sabha seats. While Ganta Srinivasa  Rao is being projected as the LS candidate from the TDP, the BJP wanted the seat for its AP unit president Kambhampati Hari Babu.

About his choice of seat, Mr Srinivas Rao said that he was ready to contest from Anakapalle Lok Sabha but will contest from Vizag if the party leadership asks so.
