SBI announces probationary officer recruitment examination
Online registration starts from April 7 and aims to recruit 1837 Probationary Officers
Mumbai: The State Bank Group has announced that its 2014 PO recruitment examination will be held in June and aims to recruit 1837 Probationary Officers (PO). SBI has 14 Local Head Offices and 57 Zonal Offices that are located at important cities throughout the country. It also has around 130 branches overseas.
Candidates can start filling in the online application forms from April 7, 2014. The last date for registration is 25th of April, 2014. SBI also specified that candidates who wish to appear for this exam, must be between the age group of 21 to 30 years. There is even a relaxation of five years for SC and ST candidates and three years for OBC candidates.
SBI has reserved 757 seats for the open category and 457 seats are reserved for OBC candidates, including a registration fee of Rs 500. There are even 235 and 439 seats reserved for SC and ST includes a registration fee of Rs 100 respectively. Objective exam will be of two hours duration with 4 sections, carrying 50 marks each. Whereas, the time allotted for descriptive examination is one hour. Candidates comprehension knowledge, short précis, essay and letter writing skills will be tested as well.
Reports also stated, ‘On successful registration, candidates will have to download the ‘Call letter’ for SBI PO examination from the official website from 30th of April, 2014.’
